OUR LEATHER BELTS ARE MADE IN SCOTLAND! The leather belts shown in this section are handcrafted using the finest full-grain Italian leather which has a worldwide reputation for quality, or made with English Leather. We have more than 20 year's experience of making belts in UK .
The leather we use is high quality full- grain leather which is the whole thickness of leather (from the shoulder part of the cow).The result is a fantastic belt which will last for many years, indeed, improving with age as it becomes more supple.
Many brand high street stores buy large volumes of wholesale belts from overseas where the manufacturers use Split leathers. These are thin layers of leather which are backed together and stitched, sometimes with a padding to make a reasonable thickness of belt. Other immitation leather belts are made with a compound of leather and cardbord, which resembles leather, but is very brittle and cracks in a short time.
There is a big difference between split leather and the that we use making our belts. We do not use split leather!
